>> Find money you don't even realize you have! <<
I like to teach this "trick" that I learned to all of the people I mentor in finances. It has helped me SO much and I do this regularly to make sure I stay on track so I think it will help you too -- IF you actually do it.
Here's how it works...
Print off your last bank statement and use highlighters to highlight each transaction which will show you where your money is currently going:
*Yellow – Food
*Pink – Debt Payments
*Blue – Necessities (rent, utilities, water)
*Green – Gas for car or other transportation services
*Orange – All the rest is your FAT
(I add "business" because I work for myself and have to take that into consideration)
Then, add up the expenses of each category.
From there, go through each category and determine what was a necessity and what was a luxury (food is a necessity but a starbucks drink is not a food necessity -- sorry friends!).
Determine a *budget* for each category for each month – anything extra is your FAT that you will put towards your $1,000 Emergency Fund and later towards paying off Debt.
Do it > Share in the Comments how it went > SHARE this with friends and family so they can FIND money too!
